KEvsAB is my thoroughly rambunctious collaboration with the prolific and ultratalented Rimas Campe, operating in his ambient guise as alternating.bit. Our work together tends towards the clash of shaggy, raw analogue and the digital misdemeanors, and is marked by an ongoing collective devotion to finding amazing sounds and inexplicable grooves down whatever dark alleys and well-lit corridors our machines take us through. Rimas is particularly good at encouraging me to take chances that I’d normally not take, in genres that are not my normal stock-in-trade, and I think it shows in the music. It’s the sound of two enthusiasts of the electronic sound at play, and I think the delight we find in our collaborations shines through.
